Tillari Trotters - Our Tamworth Pigs

This page is still under construction. On this page we will be posting pictures and statistical information about each of our breeding sows and our boars. Such information will include the date of birth of each animal, age when first litter was born, average number of piglets per litter and the animals blood line, as well as any additional for 'interest information' about each of our pigs.

RiPpA - (Glen Eyrie Jewel)

Rippa or Rip was named for the Rip she in her right ear as a piglet after she decided that she no longer wished to be identified by an ear tag. Rippa is a wonderful natured pig, though she is arguably one of the most spoilt pigs on the property. Rippa has always loved spending time with people and enjoys 'being special'. One of the original 'Three Little Pigs, she is a wonderful and protective mother, not only of her own piglets, but any piglets that may be squeeling in distress. She raises her own and any other piglets that may want a suck with out the blink of an eye, and does not loose weight while rasing piglets. Rip is affectionate, but equally as bossy and expects to get what she wants. She also does not realise how much she weighs and still will come and sit down on your lap, just as she did as a piglet.

Flick - (Glen Eyrie Elaine)

Flick was one of our 'Three little pigs" that as you can see are no longer so little. Flick was named for the flick that she has on the tip of her left ear. Flick's blood line seems to suffer from pigmentation spots around the eyes. Flick also seems more prone to sunburn than our other tamwoths - loving to lay in the sun on overcast days. Flick is an exceptional mother and usually dual mothers with Rip - frequently babysitting both litters and interchanging feeding of the piglets.

DOB: 4 October 2008
First Litter Born (to Jasper) - 1 August 2009 2 live piglets (gilts) - 1 dead
Second litter born (to AJ) - 25 February 2010 - 8 live piglets (2 gilts; 6 boars)

Flop - (Glen Eyrie Lisa)

Flop is the last of the trio of three little pigs. Where to start with Flop. Well her name. She was named Flop after her front facing ears. A full pedigree Tamworth her ears have always sat more forward than our other tamworths. Flop also has a large V cut out of her right ear from where her ear tag was. After she continually kept making the whole bigger we cut the flap off to prevent further damage her to ear. Flop has always had a fasination with animals.

Flop was a tiny little thing, only four weeks old we when bought her home. As you can see she made up with it, now being one of the deepest and largest Tamworths on the property. Flop has never liked going to the boar and is the only Tamworth i have ever seen that would sit on her butt to prevent the boar from going near her lady bits. Once she came to the house with what i thought was a leaf stuck to one of her nipples. Imagine my surprise when it turned out to be a yabbie holding onto her teat for its life. She has also walked around with slugs on her.
